Zimbru.
Our label’s disco-punk prototype-band can be described as a wild mix of raspy synthesizers, angular guitar riffs and lively percussion all topped off by stories of dancing, lost pets, real love and nostalgia for never experienced past decades.

Zimbru. The Ground
The band’s first single of a most peculiar 2020. The song is a call to kinship with the life around us and a celebration of the ground as a life giving/supporting system. The song quickly came together using a method of composition borrowed from the Talking Heads, heavily based on improvising layers upon layers of instrumentation, focusing on emotional impact more than anything else.

Zimbru. Live at Opera Maghiară
The band’s second live video (after Dog Heaven) – an ecstatic nocturnal performance of Terejo and Dyo, taken off Zimbru’s debut EP, Little Creatures, performed in the empty and hauntingly beautiful main hall of the Hungarian State Opera in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Zimbru. Divination
This is Zimbru’s first ever single release and also the first track off the band’s gorgeous debut, and enthusiastic indie/art-rock EP called Little Creatures. Referring to it, The Electricity Club wrote: a promising debut EP release that offers haunting vocals, synthy hooks, art school sensibilities and intriguing rhythmic backdrops for the dancefloor.

Get used to hearing about this rocket band in every conversation about what’s hot in Romanian indie music. Cirkular’s newest addition to its roster uses thrilling synth-pop elements and a pinch of '80s nostalgia to complement emotional lyrics about the band’s wild life. Dancey, dirty and exciting.

Recorded and produced in Cirkular’s studio, this banger of a song marks the beginning of a great collab between the band and our record label.
