What people are saying about us.

“After many years of working with different producers and sound engineers, I have finally found the right match for me and I couldn't be happier! The quality of work is top notch but the guys were super patient with me all along, something that I find pretty rare unfortunately. It wasn't a job, it was a great collaboration!”

— Gabriel Kirmaier (Kirmaier)

“If you are in Romania this is the place to record your music and to experiment with sound. I met Dan and Andrei in 2019, very warm-hearted and enthusiastic guys, a pleasure to work with. Cirkular is a great facility with a few separate production rooms and lots of nice instruments and sound toys, just right to spice up your production. I like the creative atmosphere very much. Ideas just float there without restrictions. You'll experience it on your own. I can highly recommend the team and space and will come back asap!”

Christian Halten

“You can tell these guys have a great amount of dedication & involvement in sound & music. The knowledge, the concepts & the vision they present through their projects with good communication and patience are inspiring. I've had one of my EP's mixed and mastered by Andrei at Cirkular, for which he used top equipment with slick skills. I also had the pleasure to be a part of the sound design workshop that Dan and Andrei organized, where I've learned amazing techniques in sound. I highly recommend their studio and I trust that any project that's being produced at Cirkular will be an amazing one.”

— Răzvan Ghenciu (Heion)

“We loved working with Cirkular and definitely recommend them! The final song was beautiful and the process itself was very smooth, with some back-and-forth edits which really show what it means to be listened to. And not only that, we trust their artistic sensibilities too, they are able to give new insights and adapt creatively to any story one might wish to tell.”

“Cirkular is by far the best studio I’ve had the pleasure of recording at. Andrei (the engineer) and Dan (the day to day guy) are great, honest guys who really work hard to give you the result your looking for. That’s so important because if you’re a good sound engineer but a bad people person, you may not provide the level of attention to each individual that walks in. They provide a chill, fun environment where creativity can really flow. I always recommend Cirkular to everyone. Andrei REALLY knows his stuff, and even goes above and beyond to help you shape your ideas.”

Austin Hirth

“Working with Andrei Bobiș (sound engineer) was a great experience. Professionalism, patience, creativity, hard work and a pleasant personality - just a few of his attributes I really appreciate. The results of our collaboration are top-notch cello, acoustic guitar and bass guitar tracks. Great sound & home-like environment/feeling - this is Cirkular. Thank you!”

Zoltan Sebestyen

“We had a great experience working on our song with Cirkular. Andrei is a very open-minded and empathetic producer, who brought our song to its full potential by creating a balance between our ideas and his input. He is very well anchored into the present music industry and understood our search for a modern sound. They supported us with state-of-the-art gear, encouraged any crazy musical experiment we might have had and came up with nice alternative recording spaces. All in all, it was one of the best experiences I've had in a recording studio, so I highly recommend them.”

— Angi Seserman (ex:hale)

“Really enjoyed working with these guys, it was one of my best experiences. I was more than satisfied with their mix&mastering results. I also recommend their services as producers, helped me a lot with great advices and new ideas.”

— Jozsó Halmen (FUNKorporation/Vekt)

FAQs

What do you bring to a song?

A strong sense of structure, excellent arranging skills & fresh, curious ears. We think these are paramount to helping artists and clients find whatever it is they are looking for.

Analog or digital and why?

Obviously both because we couldn't fit a tape machine through our studio’s door.

What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

The biggest names on the list regarding music production are Prince and James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem). When it comes to musicians the list is a long one - Talking Heads, ESG, Human League, Arcade Fire, Bowie, St. Vincent quickly come to mind, but I could keep adding names for a quite a while.

Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

Producing emerging bands and helping them define their artistic vision is our #1 activity right now. It is also the activity closest to our heart. Second to that is working on media projects - Games, TV commercials or film.

What type of music do you usually work on?

When it comes to working with bands we mostly work with indie, electronic music, rock, jazz and folk. However, we have quite a strong background in working for media projects such as TV commercials, where we adapted to the client's references and requests, in whatever genre they fell.

If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A multi-track recorder, an SM57, the Prophet-6 synthesizer, one electric guitar and one electric bass guitar - you don't need much more to make amazing records. Hopefully, we can find something on the island to fashion a cowbell from.
